If there's one event that declares…"Rock Rules!" This is absolutely it. Ranging from individual categories such as Vocalist and Guitarist of the Year to team merits such as Album and Artist of the Year, the NU107 Rock Awards, now on its 14th year, is based on NU listeners' votes and choices by industry insiders. Bands performing that night: The Dawn, Tropical Depression, Sandwich, Slapshock, Chicosci, 6Cyclemind, Radioactive Sago Project, Kamikazee, Bamboo and Rivermaya

Time out early at work, told my manager i'll be going to a concert. He just smiled and told me enjoy, his a rocker too, he used to have a rock band during his college years. coolness... Yeah dude, it's SWITCHFOOT's concert today... I'm not a really big fan but I like their songs, inspiring. Of course it should be, they are a Christian Rock band plus proceeds will help 100 children assisted by IJM. So, I went early Cuneta Astrodome, fall in line while listening to mp3s at my iPod. People are coming, more conios... hahaha... It's 7pm at hindi pa rin sila nagpapasok. Then finally, the line was moving, when i reached the gate, the guys' ticket in front of me are mosh pit section too, the guard told us the mosh pit section has separate line... syet... I wanted to be pissed but what can I do but to fall in line again. I found the line, damn it's long... hahaha... Oh well, that's life.. I got in around 830pm. The guy told me are you sure you are at the mosh pit section, it's kinda crowded na kasi... Pagpasok ko dun sa section, I was star strucked, daming good looking pips, parang artistahin lahat.. at home ako...hahaha... I saw Champ of Hale and Anne Curtis, she is so so pretty. I got a good spot, went near the stage, tapat ng keyboard... hahaha... waited for 30 more minutes. May front act pa, SALAMIN is the name of the band, anak ni Gary V. yung vocalist. At last, SWITCHFOOT was performing. I was amazed when I saw Jerome Fontamillas, guitar/keyboard/back vocals. He is a filipino kasi, good looking in personal ... I'm happy to see a Filipino performing with banyagas, nakaka-leap ng spirit. Anyway, may isang badtrip.. hindi ko dala camera ko... anga anga.. so this pix is taken from my 6230 phone, 1.3 megapix lang ata... hahaha... sayang talaga... Di bale, it's all in my mind, the whole event, the experience. That concert was fun, they have a great crowd no wonder they were in the mood to perform. The gurls are really making their way to the front stage, ako rin pala kasama dun, kaya lumalagapak ang pawis namin...hahaha.. It was a peaceful concert compared to free concerts kung saan grabe ang crowd. Jon Foreman's voice is superb, pa rin lang ako nakikinig sa Audio CD. The highlight of the show, they were dared to eat balut... hahaha.. that's cool... THE CROWD "could you see my hand?!!!"
The final song was "MEANT TO LIVE", it was the best performance too for me... THE FINALE PERFORMANCE
